The
library of the institute is automated. The widely stocked
library has more than 13,000 volumes of the latest books,
journals, periodicals and a host of reading material
including industry studies, company profiles, product
profiles, project reports and references materials from
the industry and international agencies. The library
also has a good collection of international and national
journals, magazines and CDs, meeting the highest standards
of engineering studies.
It consists of 1600 a unique collection of references
books concerning Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanics
and other branches of engineering and other literature.
NRIITM also has a wide range of audio and video cassettes
on Engineering and related topics. All this makes it
one of the finest amongst all the Engineering institutes
in Madhya Pradesh.
Special Features: -
- Book Bank facility is provided by the library enabling
the students to get all the books for the whole terms
by paying nominal charges.
- The library is the member of the Computer Society
of India, Institution of Electronics and
Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) and Institute of
Engineers(India).
DELNET- A learning Tool
NRIITM has DELNET facility at all its workstations
in the institute. DELNET provides access to about 540
libraries and offers more than 29 lac books, journals,
articles, video records, sound recording, CD-ROMS, which
gives NRI ITM an extra edge in the field of engineering
and technology.
The NRIITM College ,
In order to group up all the colleges in & around Gwalior, organised a state level “Delnet orientation” program in the college premises on 18 Feb 2008.
In the beginning of the program Dr. Hemant Sharma, the chief guest of the program, Jiwaji University declared Delnet as a resource sharing program that provides the records that helps us to maintain the data and helps us in every strata of development.
Ms.Sangeeta Kaul, the co-coordinator of the program highlighted the advantaged of delnet in the NRIITM institute.
The orienatation programme was organize in two sessions. In the first session, the delnet provided the transfer of general records and books to deferent libraries and provided a helping hand to all the institutions.
In the second session, the librarians, lecturers and students were explained about the universe of knowledge and its significance over technical automation and use of machines and computer networking in books services.
Audio-Visual Facilities
We have well furnished Seminar Hall and Audio–Visual
Room having a seating capacity of 350. It is aided with
modern peripheral equipments like TVs, VCRs, projectors
etc. This enables NRIITM to conduct seminars panel discussions
and guest lectures and to act as a common platform for
Industry-Institute interface. |
